To ensure fair and defensible evaluation of candidates, using psychometrically valid and reliable examinations, as part of the licensing requirements of Canadian chiropractic regulatory authorities.
Driven by excellence, quality, and the highest ethical standards, the Canadian Chiropractic Examining Board will lead the development and delivery of national standardized chiropractic examinations.
At CCEB we are committed to upholding:
CCEB celebrated its 25th anniversary as an independent not-for-profit corporation on February 14, 2016. It began much earlier as a committee of the Canadian Chiropractic Association. The first national exams were held in 1963.
CCEB and the exams have evolved significantly over that time and they continue to evolve to keep pace with current governance norms, psychometric standards, and legal defensibility requirements.
The exam test specifications are based on a national task analysis created and completed by field practitioners. Subject matter experts from the chiropractic profession create the exam items, set the pass scores. and provide ongoing review and development of the exams.
These exams are created and conducted to provide assurance of public health and wellness. Exams are created to provide an assessment of acceptable entry to practice competency.
