Accommodations and Assistive Devices
Any requests for accommodations or assistive devices need to submit with your application. All requests will be assessed on an individual basis.
Requests are to be submitted to the CCEB prior to Initial Application Deadline. The following documentation is required:
- A written request from the Candidate
- A current medical report, description of Assistive Device i.e. make and model, and recommended accommodations.
- A report from the Candidate’s DC Program confirming accommodations granted for educational examinations.
Examples of Assistive Devices
- Hearing aid
- Insulin pump
- Medically required foods
Examples of Accommodations
- Extra time
- Private room
- Specialized software
No food will be permitted at the examination without prior CCEB approval. For the safety of other candidates, no products are to be brought on to the track that contain any of the priority food allergens identified by Health Canada, which are:
- Sesame seeds
- Tree nuts
**Please note that documentation is not required for eyeglasses; however, they along with all other Assistive Devices will be inspected at Registration.**
